Bob,
Thank you for sending the other skid and including a US Postal pouch to mail the other skid back.
I put on the skids and they great on my Cub Cadet x3 42″ snow blower that is attached to my XT2 lawn tractor. The snow blower model number is:19A40024100. I then tried out the blower and all I can say is “Wow.” It moves easier without resistance and I can turn the tractor without the blower grabbing the snow and ice surface making it hard to turn.. They work great! Well worth getting them.
I mailed the wrong skid back to you today via the US Mail.
Feel free to put the pictures on your website for other buyers to look at.
If you have questions feel free to contact.
Sincerely,
Keith
Cub Cadet 3X26″ HD 3 Stage
The photo on the right shows why you cannot order the Pro-XT (Extra-Tall) for this particular machine. You need to order the regular Pro-3575-B.
One of our customers Gus G., wasn’t sure which skid size to order. He ordered the Pro-XT, but those didn’t fit correctly. He had asked us, but we weren’t sure either because there are so many different and new machines. So if you have this machine, order the regular pro and not Pro-XT. Gus said: “They are not flush against the machine. The top of the skid is hitting a pushed out part and the bottom is almost flush. I run my machine pretty low to the driveway. No gravel just smooth driveway. Not sure I would need all that extra height.”
Bob’s note: Cub cadet 3×26 owner, that has bolts down low and a horizontal reinforcing ridge just above the stock skid.
Cub Cadet 3X30
Bob,
Here are the pictures I took of your Pro XT 3575b skids on my Cub Cadet 3x 30 inch HD snow blower. They were taken with the blower inlet ramp set at 1.5 inches above the floor. Just behind the Pro XT 3575b skids can be seen the original Cub Cadet blue plastic skids. I made a print of the Blue Cub Cadet original skids which is also attached with the dimensions I measured using a digital caliper. It appears I can adjust the Pro XT 3575 skids to obtain an inlet ramp variation from about 1 inch to 2 inches from the ground without the use of spacers. This is just what I was looking for in skids.
The bolt spacing on this machine is 5.75. Note that my standard size skid shown in the photo (ASC3575-B) is fully extended, and gives some clearance at the scraper bar. If you are using on gravel and need more height, you may want to consider the PRO3575XT-B.
